Questions & answers
What is the difference between cow ghee and buffalo ghee?
Both are made the bilona way, from whole-milk curd churned by hand. Desi Cow Bilona Ghee is golden, with a deep, nutty aroma, and takes 25–30 litres of milk for one kilo. Desi Buffalo Ghee is white, rich and thick, the one Rajasthani homes use for laddoo, halwa and churma.
Which ghee for which use?
Cow Bilona ghee for pouring over roti, dal and laddoo, and for the everyday tadka. Buffalo ghee for sweets, churma, halwa and festive food.
Is the ghee tested?
Every batch is tasted by us before it is sealed. The batch number is printed on each jar.
How do I store it and how long does it last?
Keep the jar closed, away from direct sunlight, and use a dry spoon. No fridge needed. Best within 12 months of packing (see the date on the jar). Natural variation in colour, grain and aroma is a sign of purity.
How do I order and pay?
Choose your ghee, tap Buy Now, fill your address and pay by UPI (scan the QR or open your UPI app). Enter the UTR and we verify the payment and confirm your order on WhatsApp. You can also order directly on WhatsApp.
Do you deliver outside Rajasthan?
Yes. We ship across India — 500 ml and 1 litre in glass jars, 2 and 5 litre in steel tins — bubble-wrapped in a kraft box. Delivery usually takes 3–6 days. Any delivery charge is shown before you pay.
What if the jar arrives broken?
Record a short video while opening the box. If the jar is broken, send that video on WhatsApp within 24 hours of delivery and a new jar ships free — see mhara.in/guarantee.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Use the Track page with your order number and phone number, or message us on WhatsApp.
Do you make smaller jars?
Yes. Our ghee comes in more than one jar size. The sizes on sale right now are shown on each product page, pick yours there.
Are there any health claims?
We make none. We tell you exactly how the ghee is made and what is in it (only milk fat) and leave the rest to your dadi.
